This pepper jelly is an elegant way to add just a little bit of heat to a plate. We infuse fresh and fragrant pear juice with piment d'espelette, a mild pepper cultivated in the French commune of Espelette, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, in the Basque Country. Pair it with cheese, charcuterie, grilled meats or fish, or add a little punch to a freshly sliced pear with pungent Roquefort cheese. Très chique. Also great for glazing dishes and pairs beautifully with hard cider, white or red wine. The pears are grown in Harlem, NYC at an Urban Farm run by the association "Harlem Grown".
